TokenPig
Developer API — coming soon

A document-to-Markdown API for repeatable AI workflows

TokenPig’s API is planned for developers who need consistent file conversion without a manual upload step.

Why this page exists

Manual conversion is enough for occasional files. Product workflows need an API with explicit limits, predictable outputs, secure file handling and errors that can be monitored.

The TokenPig API is not presented here as generally available. This page documents the intended use cases and gives interested developers a clear path to test the current web converter while the API is developed.

What you get

A cleaner path from file to useful context

Automated ingestion

Convert files as part of uploads, support workflows or knowledge-base pipelines.

Consistent Markdown

Normalize several document formats before downstream processing.

Observable results

Design for status, errors, token estimates and reproducible outputs.

Flexible integration

Use converted content in RAG systems, agents, documentation and analysis tools.

How to use it

A few steps, with a review before you trust the output

  1. 01

    Validate the web output

Test representative files in TokenPig before planning an automated integration.

  2. 02

    Define volume and latency

Estimate file types, average size, monthly conversions and acceptable processing time.

  3. 03

    Plan secure handling

Decide how files are uploaded, deleted, logged and isolated in your application.

  4. 04

    Integrate when available

Use only the final published API contract, authentication method and plan limits.

Good fit

Useful when you need to

  • Convert customer uploads before AI analysis
  • Prepare documents for an ingestion queue
  • Generate Markdown versions of internal knowledge files
  • Add document cleanup to an agent or automation platform
Limitations

What to review honestly

  • The API is marked as coming soon and should not be sold or documented as production-ready.
  • The illustrative request in this package is not a final endpoint or contract.
  • Rate limits, authentication, retention and supported file sizes must match the eventual published documentation.
  • High-volume or regulated workloads may require enterprise controls beyond a standard developer API.
Test it yourself

Use a known sample before your own file

Download the sample, run it through TokenPig and inspect the Markdown yourself before trusting it with important documents.

FAQ

Questions specific to this workflow

Is the TokenPig API available now?

The public pricing currently labels API functionality as coming soon. Use the web converter for current testing and publish this page as an early-interest page, not completed API documentation.

Which formats are planned?

The intended scope follows TokenPig’s supported document formats, but final API support should be stated only when the endpoint is released.

Will the API support batch processing?

Batch workflows are a natural use case, but the final behavior, limits and pricing must come from the released product.

Can I build against the sample request now?

No. It is an illustrative artifact for product planning, not a stable API contract.

What should an early adopter test?

Test representative documents, edge cases, output consistency, deletion behavior, error handling and downstream usefulness.

Cleaner documents. Better context.
